Here’s my top 5:
- Inclusive. The bills and meals add up otherwise
- Weather. It’s never a guarantee, but certain places have better odds than others.
- Convenient to get to. A few hours on the plane, then a short drive always makes it best when traveling with kids.
- Continual Options for Activities for the kids, for me and for us together.
- Luxury Property and nice rooms.
My recent trip to the Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia in Punta Cana with my boys and extended family excelled in all of those! Everything on site was included! The weather was dreamy. It was a 3 1/2 hour plane ride from NY and less than 30 minutes in a taxi once we arrived. We were at the pool an hour after we landed. And they even had a separate check in for my boys which was such a special experience. The Fantasia property has guest rooms with the ability to accommodate families of up to five people, allowing for larger families to stay together and save even more.
The activities were endless. I did a yoga class by the pool. My entire family took a water aerobics class together. My kids participated in so many other activites that just popped up throughout the day in the pool. From a fun course to water polo. It was a beautiful short walk to the beach, kids and teen club and the night entertainment at the theater was a perfect way to relax after our full days. There was never a moment to be bored and I got to just chill and watch in the fun. The Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia is a new concept for the brand, having a luxury all-inclusive offering in a family setting that is suited for the whole family.
We took a chocolate making class at the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro. We tried this on-site rope course. We relaxed on the beach. We did it all. In a close, beautiful, luxurious way without breaking the bank.
