When summer hits, your hair is often the last thing you want to deal with especially with mothers on the go, but Denise Albert of the MOMs along with Nick Stenson, celebrity stylist for Matrix, are going to help you through it. As a mother on the go you might not have the time to get your hair done by a professional so you should make sure you have the correct products for your hair type. For example if you color your hair you could purchase a shampoo for colored hair, however if you do have the time it is better to get it done by a professional. MESSY BUN
• To get this look, first put a small drop of Matrix StyleLink Gloss Booster in your hair. This will add instant shine to your hair without making it look greasy.
• Next, pull your hair into a loose ponytail. Spray the ponytail with Matrix StyleLink Texture Builder. This will give it texture to hold volume, but still give off the appeal of that windswept look.
• Separate the hair into two or three sections and tease your hair. This will give the hair volume and ensure that your hair stays in place all day, no matter what errands you need to run
• Separate your teased hair into two sections and wrap the hair in opposite directions and secure your hair with a bobby pin about an inch from the bottom of your strands, leaving the ends to fray around your bun and create a messy effect. SIDE BRAID
• There are a few golden rules to follow when braiding your hair. You should try to prep your hair the night before, as the hair’s natural oils will help the braid stay in place. TEXTURED HALF UP/HALF DOWN
• First, spray hair with a bit of Matrix StyleLink Texture Builder. This will help hold the hair in place and make sure that the bobby pins have something to grip on to
• Next, pull half of your hair back, do a little bit of teasing at the crown, and then secure with bobby pins. Afterwards, grab 2 inch sections of hair from either side and pin into pace. Repeat, only this time tucking the hair in.
